Ideas, solve problems, create interest, enjoyment, engagement and they synthesise new things and new behaviour that in turn unearth new ideas. That's why I am little disappointed that creativity seems to be so marginalised despite London being some kind of creative hub. Creativity to most businesses are the smarties on the icing on the cake, not the fucking cake itself. A bit odd I think when you consider that the biggest and best companies in the world all came from an IDEA. The only way round this is doing things on your own which seems a bit of a shame and wasted opportunity for the broader community.
