| Went to CSSD and studied ballet dancers bottoms for a year. Went to University of Hertfordshire. Fell in love. Found techno. Avoided prison. Turned the college lift into a studio. Shit degree show. Got upset. Became a poet, got booed. Became a shop porter at the department store they based 'Are you being served on?' Stopped that. Hung around a club called Kitsch Bitch and got into heavy rock.Got the worst job as a temp in a Magisrates Court collecting fines. Went to kensington and Chelsea to study Art Management, met lots of interesting people. Started to work at a gallery in Fitzrovia. At same time working on TV kids programme making sound effects. At Ealing Studio on 09/11 watched twin towers collapse with cast of Star Wars in full costume.Convinced the gallery owner to move to Hoxton Square. Crazy time. Slept on gallery floor then moved to cinema downstairs and built bubble wrap house. Many parties. Landlords pulled fast one. Bailifs on the day Terrance Conran opens show. Produced album for Adaadat records for the magnificent Ommm. Worked in VJ'ing world for a while and helped out on Glade stage at Glastonbury and the first ever Bestival in visual content production.Joined up with Lumin and saw many wonderful festivals, gigs and splendid musical things. Tour managed Venetian Snares for a bit and got in fun trouble. Started writing for Grafik by getting naked in Newcastle. Went to live in Jaywick on the remote Essex coast on my own in a caravan for 5 months to look after an art gallery until it opened. Basically a guard dog. Discovered a lot of things about me. I like bingo. Made a fashion promo with a friend in a butlins hotel in Brighton. Worked for a broadcast company editing trailers for the Audi channel. Met Lee McCormack, identified with the book and helped lee lay the foundations for the website. Spent the last year building the community, visiiting plebs and doing some freelance writing. Highlights have been going to MoMA in New York, Designersblock in Milan, going up to Manchester a few times, going back to Italy, to Turin to visit World Design captial 2008 and Newcastle 3 times for Design Event 07. Also visiting Chelsea College, Ravensbourne, Portsmouth and St Martins. This year apart from my work here at DAW I've been working at a place called The Viral Factory doing campaigns for Activision, Skype, Samsung and Diesel. I also did some work for Design Event 08, Lobster,Serpent Productions and Pico. Woo hoo. Here's more news.. I'm a dad, I'm assisting Ms Lewis, Editor of Grafik on a regular basis and I'm now the content editor for The London Design Festival. | ||
